On November 25, 2007 in the St. Cyril's of Turau Cathedral in Brooklyn, NY the Belarusian Museum opened an exhibition by well known in Belarus and abroad artist  Genadz Drazdou. The works, represented at this exhibition “Higher Than Sky-scrapers”, seize fifteen years of the artist’s creative work.

It was possible to see there 19 pictorial canvases, 8 graphical leaves and 5 icons, executed with innovative technics. At the time of the event the author himself explained stylistic- vivid manner of his works  as transcendent symbolism. The artist pointed, that this is an attempt to grasp the today surprisingly complicated, interesting and full of mysteries world  by means of fine arts. The freedom of creative work anables an artist to have his/ her own rather independent  and distinctive view at the course of events and the sosiety’s development. At the same time the artist has a great responsibility, because his creative work is influencing on development and forming of a person and his/her world view. That is why Chritsian values are the scale for measuring of good and evil, of light and darkness. These values are the dominating aspect in Genadz Drazdou’s work.

It is significant to note, that  the artist’s giftedness became apparent and in the field of poetry. Dozens of Belarusians, who came to the exhibition opening, with great interest listened to the poems of the artist, performed by him.

My dreams and aspiration
are higher that sky-scrapers,
and bosses cannot buy them

with any money.
My country is not on the map,
it is in the heart and sole,
my pictures are not in the Metropolitan museum,
but God sees them from His height.

The art had always a function of interosculation between different cultures and nations. In this sense Genadz Drazdou’s art work may be viewed as a cut of Belarusian art and a possibility to popularize it in the US.
