Serge Arden
Serge was born in Belarus. The beauty of Belarusian nature, its meadows, forests, lakes, country cottages, and small churches greatly influenced his life.
Since the early childhood, Serge showed interest in fine arts, and revealed his unique memory and talent.
He studied and worked for a long time in Moscow. For fifteen years he has been studying the art of painting, calligraphy, and principles of classical photography. He also learned a lot about art history. Serge graduated from Moscow State University and received internships in Warsaw and Prague.
His works were exhibited in many prestigious international photography Salons.
Serge moved to the United States in 1997. He resides in New York ever since and currently works as a designer, fine art photographer, and experimental painter. His extensive travels let him explore the world’s artistic and cultural legacy.
In recent years, he has created numerous series of works in the genres of classical and experimental photography: Spectacle of Times Square, the Lights of Broadway, Fireworks in Manhattan, Show-windows of Fifth Avenue, Flags of Rockefeller Center, Madrid at Night, the Play of Light in Rome Fountains, Pictures of Paris, Kiev in the Evening etc.
He has also created numerous series in classical photography genre: Treasures of the Old Chest, “Mirrors, Flowers, and Fruits,” Mystery of the Middle Ages, Alchemy and Magic of Things, Quiet Life of Things etc.
At present he is involved in a creative project consisting of abstract paintings, which represent a synthesis of post-impressionism, Orphism, analytical cubism, abstract expressionism, and also the ideas of Zen philosophy.
